About the event
We will also be showing the 2017 movie starring Steve Carell and Emma Stone as Bobby Riggs and Billie Jean King. 52 years ago, Billie Jean King defeated Bobby Riggs 6-4, 6-3, 6-3 at the Houston Astrodome in what remains the most-watched tennis match in history. The victory silenced months of
bravado from the 55-year-old Riggs, a former Wimbledon champion, who insisted women’s tennis was vastly inferior to the men’s game.
